The City of Denver is offering free two hour hands-on classes on how to compost through mid-October.
Participants are required to register at least a week ahead of time. Denver residents will be given priority.
Classes are held at the community garden at 13th and Colorado Blvd.

The 12th annual Colorado Dragon Boat Festival will be held this weekend at Sloan’s Lake, 25th and Sheridan.
Hours on Saturday, July 28th are from 10 am to 7 pm. On Sunday, July 29th, the festival will be from 10 am to 5 pm.
Admission is free. Asian food will be available for purchase. Along with boat races, the event offers dance performances, music performances and a special area for kids.
