Real estate contracts may now be signed electronically. You don’t need any special equipment—you may sign with your mouse! Even though your signature will look very different from your pen-signed signature, it is still legal!
Most real estate agents in Colorado have access to programs that enable this function. The client needs no new hardware. Sign your sales contract, disclosures and other documents in your pajamas. Some day we may be closing our transactions from our homes or offices instead of sitting down together at the closing table. Some day soon we will have paperless real estate transactions.
